MoJo’s Nummy Cardio Shake


Oh how I love this after a nice sweaty workout.  It’s so much fun to toss a bunch of stuff together in the blender and get a frothy surprise.  Here’s our current household fave…….

2 ripe bananas

1 scoop protein powder (I used whey vanilla flavored)

2 TBSP Benefiber powder (not necessary – no flavor, but hey why not!!)

3 TBSP natural peanut butter (or almond butter)

1 non fat vanilla yogurt (we like Yoplait)  SO CREAMY

1- 2 cups Vanilla Almond Milk (We use Silk)


This amount serves 2 people or 1 large glass, but it’s pretty heavy.  You could substitute all over the place with this, but we just like the sweet thickness of this combo.  I’ve used skim milk in place of the almond and the shake is just runnier, so if you use skim and like it less sweet, try Greek yogurt in place of regular for some added thickness.
